Anti Armour Capabilities

rpg29In this session a panel of speakers will address the evolving anti-armour technologies, tracing the changes that have undergone in the battlefield, from kinetic-energy dominated threats that persisted through the 1980s to the current age, where ever-smaller warheads are optimised to delver focused lethality with minimal collateral damage. This panel will also discuss evolving techniques that have been introduced to counter the progress in multi-hit armour protection and active protection systems.

On the other hand, the evolution of asymmetric threats introduce a plethora of improvised, yet highly effective threats – from rocket propelled grenades (RPGs), improvised explosive charges, and reused mines, to advanced ambush techniques, involving roadblocks, and mega belly charges to snipers, fire bombs and smoke pots targeting exposed vehicle occupants.
